Miracle in Lawton/Oklahoma
There is a little boy crying out loud: I wish a miracle would happen. Just when the boy screamed a big explosion happened and there was M I R A C L E.
At first Miracle did not know where she was: Ups, where am I? When she looked around, she saw a main street with a water tower, indicating the town's name. She red each single letter: L, A, W, T, O, N, and wondered in which state she was.
The little boy was surprised that after he had asked for a miracle a big explosion had caused this sweet little thing to appear. He did not know what it was but it definitely looked nice, so he asked: Who are you?
The little thing said: I am Miracle. And who are you? So the boy told her his name: I am Sammy. He also told her why he was so sad. He was very sad and upset that there are so many things that need to be improved in Lawton. The city does not have to offer a lot for children and whenever something takes place the news are not spread well. This was why he missed to go to the circus. The worst thing was that since he had lived there (five years alltogether) he had only had once the chance to see a circus.
Miracle understood fully and felt in a way sorry for little Sammy, but she knew that her reason for being there now was to save LAWTON.
The boy told her that they were in the state of Oklahoma. Little Miracle continued to look around and saw: A small town with approximately 100,000 inhabitants, many small buildings, few sidewalks, and many shops. On the north side of the town there was Fort Sill, which is a community of its own. On the south side there was a small airport. There were nice neighborhoods as well as poorer neighborhoods.
Miracle noticed a few parks and saw that the town was partly surrounded by the Wichita Mountains with its great Wildlife Refuge. Bison and Longhorn Cows walked freely around. There were cyclists riding up Mount Scott. The view from Mount Scott was an incredible view: A beautiful landscape which reminds people of the old west. The whole town can be overlooked from there. Rocks invite people to climb around. The surrounding lakes offer recreational opportunities. Lake Lawtonka even has a little beach, and there is a camping area.
Miracle thought that the area looked nice at first sight, but off course the problems were not obvious. From now on she would stay in town to help solve everybodies problems.
